THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Send out application form
Thank you for your interest in Woston School. We are delighted that you are considering Woston School for your son and we hope you find this process as easy and as accessible as possible. The first step towards admission consideration is to fill out an online INQUIRE NOW form and provide us with some basic information. Please note, all of the information you enter in the inquiry will pre-populate the application form.
Interview
Selection for entry in any part of the school will be made on the basis of performance in entrance tests, the impression made during interview and/or a trial day, and on reports from the prospective student’s current school. The single most important criterion used for selection, however, is that the prospective student should be able to meet and maintain the standards required by the school for all its students and should feel comfortable with the ethos to which the school aspires. In cases in which other factors are equal, preference may first be given to a sibling of an existing student. For entry to the Senior School, preference may first be given to an existing Preparatory School pupil. For entry into the Sixth Form, students will be expected to have achieved a minimum of 6 GCSE passes at Grades 9 – 4 (or their equivalent).
Vetting
At this time, we are conducting socially distant tours with facemasks required. We invite all prospective students and families to visit our beautiful campus in Marlborough, Massachusetts to meet with one of our admission counselors. We also are able to accommodate those families who are unable to visit campus by offering Zoom interviews. Please contact the Admission Office at (508) 485-3483 or by email to schedule your interview.
Acceptance
Thank you for your interest in Woston School. Since 1901, we have prided ourselves on providing a life-changing educational experience for our young boys as they begin to navigate their pre-adolescent and adolescent years. We believe that all students need to feel safe and secure in a structured environment before we can expect them to stretch academically, athletically or socially. This has always been our cornerstone, our baseline, from where we have challenged our students to take full advantage of everything Woston School has to offer and to better prepare themselves for a seamless transition into secondary school.
