A little bit about us
Where it started
Woston is set in 23 acres of beautiful parkland in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, less than one hour from London. The school is centred on a grand Victorian Mansion built in 1855 in the style of Osborne House, Queen Victoria's home on the Isle of Wight. Woston is a co-educational independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3 -18, which comprises a Pre-Prep, Preparatory and Senior School. It is a thriving, happy and purposeful place where excellence and a love of learning are nurtured.
2012 – now
The children at Woston are at the heart of everything that we do. Their enthusiasm and passions are nurtured by a dedicated team of teachers who inspire our students to give of their very best both in and outside the classroom, at school and at home.

Studies
Our international day and boarding community for boys and girls aged 3-18 is set in 23 acres of beautiful parkland in the centre of Royal Tunbridge Wells. With 23 subjects at A Level including Photography, Art, Textiles, DT, Drama, Music, Psychology and Business Studies as well as the more traditional subjects we allow students at all levels to play to their strengths and study the subjects that really excite them.

How we perform
Academics at Woston are centered on our belief that every student’s learning potential must be identified, unlocked, and maximized. Our 4:1 student teacher ratio and small class sizes allow for differentiated and personalized instruction. Academics are intentionally designed for a spectrum of learning styles -- from complex and accelerated classes, to programs designed for international ESL students, to coursework that supports bright boys with particular areas of learning difficulty.

The arts
All students are required to develop their musical knowledge and appreciation through a trimester of music each year. The curriculum ranges from projects on great composers to the development of musical compositions using programs such as Garage Band. Students also have the opportunity to try various instruments and can further pursue their interest in music through individual music/vocal lessons, pep-band, drama, and choir.
